1.Glowing Play Dough

We all know that most children love playing with play dough. The first thing we should know about it that playing with play dough builds up strength in all the tiny hand muscles and tendons and make them ready for pencil and scissor control. When they play with play dough they carry out different actions which support fine motor development as well as hand-eye coordination and general concentration. Also playing with play dough gives your children a more creative mind.

Why don't you try to make your own play dough at home ? This is a brilliant DIY craft and both you and your children will enjoy it?

What you need and how to do it:

DIY ideas
  • Glowing Vitamin
  • Flour
  • Water
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Cream of Tartar
  • Salt

Crush 2 of our Glowing Vitamins into a fine powder .Add the vitamin powder to 2 cups of flour, 4 teaspoons of Cream of Tartar, and 2/3 cup of salt and stir.

Next add 2 cups of warm water and 2 Tablespoons of cooking oil.

Whisk this extremely well until there are no lumps.

Add it to a saucepan and cook on medium heat until the playdough completely holds together and is no longer sticking to the pan or your spatula.

If you are not sure if it is ready, take a small bit in your hands (adult only - the playdough is quite hot) and roll it. It should not stick and should have a firm store bought playdough texture. If it is smooshy or sticky, keep cooking it!

Once it is fully cooked, allow it to cool for several minutes. Knead thoroughly to make sure there aren't any remaining hot spots before handing it over to a child.

Take the play dough into a dark room and turn on a blacklight to see it glow! The vitamin will give the play dough a bright yellow color.

Kids will love this experiment.
